Baklava Inspired Mille Feuille

Hello Chef!
Chef Jeremy here! In this class, we will be making a Mille Feuille or “1000 layer” pastry which is a classic french dessert that is to die for! My recipe for this is inspired by baklava with a honey, walnut filling that is just to die for. I originally created the dish while I was in pastry school for an end of the year exam and I can’t wait to share it with you!!

P.S. I would recommend drinking this with a Honey Kumquat Caipirinha beverage. I have shared with you the recipe below! If you prefer wine, a Chenin Blanc or a Dry Reisling will pair beautifully as well!

Beverage Pairing Suggestion
Honey Kumquat Caipirinha Recipe
Ingredients
- 5 kumquats
- 1/2 lime, cut into pieces
- 1 1/2 ounces cachaça
- 1/2 ounce falernum (optional)
- 1 ounce clover honey syrup
Directions
- Muddle the kumquats and lime.
- Add the remaining ingredients and ice.
- Shake and strain! Enjoy chilled.
