Tips from the Chef: Buttermilk Fried Chicken

For this experience, we'll be focusing on how to butcher an entire chicken and fry it to crispy, golden brown perfection. We will cover everything you need to know during class, but here are my tips for the next time you cook this recipe! 

Suggestions for serving: 

  • If you like spicy, serve alongside or cover with your favorite hot sauce. It's a great balance for the sweet honey. For a hot sauce recommendation, we love Yellowbird for interesting flavor or Crystal for classic!  
  • Alongside warm biscuits.

Truffle Shuffle Seasoned Flour

2⅓ cups all purpose flour
1¾ tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1½ tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon black pepper
½ tablespoons cayenne pepper

To make
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Aleppo pepper, black pepper, mustard powder, and cayenne pepper.
